Services Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the TallyGo App (hereafter referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, created by ZakaApp B.V. (hereafter referred to as "Service Provider"), and provided as a free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit
- The time and date of your visit
- The time spent on those pages and the Application overall
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
Health Data Access
The Application may access health data using HealthKit (iOS) and Health Connect (Android). This includes metrics like step count, heart rate, and activity summaries. All data is read-only and stored locally on your device. None of this data is transmitted or shared with any third-party services.
Purpose of health data access:
- To display personal activity insights within the Application
- To offer health-based goal tracking functionalities
Use of Health Data
The Application accesses health-related data from Android's Health Connect API and Apple's HealthKit, strictly for the purpose of enabling users to monitor their daily energy balance in relation to grocery purchases. No health data is transmitted externally; all processing and display are performed locally on the user’s device.
Health Permissions (Android)
- android.permission.health.READ_ACTIVE_CALORIES_BURNED: Used to read the user’s active calories burned during physical activity. Active calories are combined with basal metabolic data to calculate total daily calorie expenditure. This figure is compared with caloric intake data derived from grocery purchases. All data is processed and displayed locally.
- android.permission.health.READ_BASAL_METABOLIC_RATE: Accesses the user’s basal metabolic rate (BMR), representing resting calorie burn. This is added to active calories to compute daily energy expenditure for comparison with grocery-based intake data. Local-only data handling.
- android.permission.health.READ_TOTAL_CALORIES_BURNED: Serves as a fallback when BMR and active calories are unavailable. It provides the total calorie burn, both active and resting, for energy balance comparisons against dietary intake. No external data processing occurs.
- android.permission.health.READ_HEALTH_DATA_HISTORY: Retrieves up to 30 days of historical data on BMR, active, and total calories burned. Enables monthly expenditure comparisons against intake patterns. The app prioritizes summing BMR and active calories but uses total calories burned when necessary. Data is never uploaded or shared externally.
HealthKit (iOS)
On iOS, the Application uses HealthKit to access the same categories of data—active calories burned, basal metabolic rate, and total calories burned—under user-granted permissions. The data is solely used for calculating daily and monthly calorie expenditure, shown within the app interface for comparison with grocery spending-based intake. All computations and visualizations occur on-device without transmitting health data elsewhere.
The Application does not store health data on external servers, nor does it transmit this data to third parties. All health data remains on-device, processed locally, and is used solely to enable personalized calorie expenditure insights in relation to grocery spending. No health data is used for advertising, analytics, or profiling. The Application does not retain this data beyond the user session, and it is discarded upon app reset or deletion. No user health data is ever shared, sold, or disclosed externally.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement.
Third-party service providers used by the Application include:
